Helpful information about your new Race services can be found in the customer "Welcome Packet" you received in the "It's time to prepare for your installation with Race!" email.

If you are currently leasing one of Race’s Wireless Routers, here are some instructions on how to access the router's web-based configuration tools.

CONNECT TO THE WIRELESS GATEWAY ROUTER

  1. Connect to the gateway router either with an Ethernet patch cable (preferred) OR via the wireless SSID (Wi-Fi name) and WPA Key (Password). The Default SSID and WPA Key can be found on the white Default Settings sticker on the router. If your router does not have a Default Settings sticker, this information can also be located on the device label. The default SSID will start with CXNK. This will be your Wi-Fi network name unless it was changed by the technician during installation. If your Wi-Fi settings are not default, you will use your normal Wi-Fi name and password. The bottom two lines of the Default Settings sticker also contain the IP address and username/password you will need to access the web-based configuration tools.

  2. Once you have successfully connected to the Race internet, launch your default web browser, such as Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc. In the Address bar, enter 192.168.1.1 or the IP address specified on the Default Settings sticker as the router’s default IP address, then press Enter.

  3. If you are connected to the Race internet and have entered the correct IP address, you will be prompted for a username and password to access the web-based configuration tools. The default username is 'admin' and the default password is located on the bottom line of the Default Settings sticker after 'admin/'.

  4. Once logged into the web-based configuration tools, you will have access to change things such as wireless settings, port or application forwarding, or to monitor devices connecting to the router.
