If you are currently leasing one of Race’s ONT Wireless Gateway Routers, here are some instructions on how to access the routers web-based configuration tool.
CONNECT TO THE WIRELESS GATEWAY ROUTER
Follow the instructions below to access the router’s web-based configuration pages.
- Connect to the gateway router either hardwired with an Ethernet patch cable (preferred) OR via the default wireless SSID and Password. The Default SSID and Security Key can be found on a sticker placed on the front of the gateway router. This information can also be located on the back of the device. The default SSID usually starts with CXNK0… unless it was changed by the installation technician during installation. The sticker also contains the IP address and username/password in order to access the web-based configuration pages. Please make a note of this information. You will need it in the following steps.
- Once your successfully connected to the gateway router, launch your default web browser, such as Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc. In the Address bar, enter 192.168.1.1 or the IP address specified on the sticker as the router’s default IP address, then press Enter.
- If successfully connected, you will be prompted for a username and password to access the web-based configuration pages. The username by default is admin and the default password is located on the same stickers mentioned above.
- Once logged into the web-based configuration pages, you will have access to change things such as wireless settings, port or application forwarding or simply just monitor the devices connecting to the router.
